Adsorption of camphor on Au(111) and its effect on the electroreduction of periodate [IO(super -)(sub 4)
Article Abstract:
A study on the potential-controlled physicorption of camphor on Au(111) single-crystalline bulk as well as thin film electrode and its influence on the electroreduction on IO4(super -) to IO3(super -) is presented. The results concluded that negative of the inhibition region, the surface is free of adsorbates, whereas toward more positive potentials, camphor is replaced by periodate-like anions adsorbing at the surface, at which point, the periodate electroreduction is resumed.

Kinetic modeling of [CO.sub.ad] monolayer oxidation on carbon-supported platinum nanoparticles
Article Abstract:
A theoretical study of [CO.sub.ad] electrooxidation on Pt nanoparticles is conducted and an investigation on the effects of size and surface texture of nanoparticles on the interplay of relevant kinetic processes is presented. Results reveal that for larger nanoparticles the surface mobility of [CO.sub.ad] is high compared to the reaction rate constants, and the kinetic equations could be solved in the limiting case of infinite surface mobility.

High frequency faradaic rectification voltammetry at microelectrodes
Article Abstract:
An experimental setup for carrying out faradaic rectification measurements at micrometer-sized electrodes under voltammetric conditions at platinum and gold microelectrodes is described. This method is based on the frequency dependence of the shape of the faradaic rectification voltammograms rather than on the magnitude of the faradaic rectification signal.
